My Story
Hi, I'm Laura-May, a business support consultant with a slightly unconventional journey and a passion for helping people and organisations thrive.
My career hasn't followed a straight path, but every chapter has shaped the way I work today. From my early experiences in trades, to years spent in the care sector, and later moving into leadership, administration and service delivery roles, I've gained a unique mix of practical skills, problem-solving ability and a genuine understanding of people.
Working in care taught me one of the things I value most: that behind every organisation, business or service are people who need support, understanding and someone who can help make things feel a little more manageable.
"Helping others thrive became my passion."
Today, I combine my experience in operations, organisation, accessibility, digital communications and business support to help small businesses, charities and purpose-led organisations build stronger foundations, work more efficiently and focus on what matters most.
Whether it's creating better systems, improving processes, supporting accessibility and inclusion, strengthening communications or simply being the extra pair of hands someone needs, I love turning challenges into practical solutions.
Now based in Northern Ireland and balancing life as a mum, I understand first-hand the juggling act of managing responsibilities, building something meaningful and finding time for what really matters.
When I'm away from my laptop, you'll usually find me enjoying a caramel latte, spending time with my family, exploring the outdoors, or relaxing with a little Animal Crossing. I'm a Formula 1 fan (although we won't mention Abu Dhabi 2021!) and I'd describe myself as an enthusiastic amateur gardener. I can grow fruit and vegetables, but somehow keeping a houseplant alive remains my greatest challenge.
